OTR Forgot Password: How to Reset OTR Password Easily Login

So, you’ve done your One Time Registration (OTR) for scholarship, but now you can’t remember the password?
Don’t panic — resetting your OTR password is super easy and takes just a few minutes.


Step-by-Step Guide to Reset OTR Password

  1. Go to the OTR Login Page

  2. Click “Forgot Password”

    • On the login page, you’ll see a link saying Forgot Password?

    • Click on it.

  3. Enter Your OTR ID & Captcha

    • Type your 14-digit OTR number (sent to your registered mobile & email during registration).

    • Fill in the captcha code shown.

  4. Verify Your Mobile Number

    • An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

    • Enter the OTP and click Verify.

  5. Set a New Password

    • Choose a strong password (mix of letters, numbers, and symbols).

    • Confirm it by typing again.

  6. Login Again

    • Go back to the login page.

    • Enter your OTR ID + new password + captcha and click Login.


Important Notes

  • You must have access to the registered mobile number to reset your password.

  • If your mobile number has changed, update it through the portal or by contacting the NSP Helpdesk at helpdesk@nsp.gov.in / 0120-6619540.

  • Password should be 8–16 characters, with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.
